Fish Island is a unique collaboration by Hill and Peabody which comprises of a collection of stunning 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments. Designed and built with the industrial heritage in mind, Fish Island Village will create a lively and vibrant canal-side community within Hackney Wick.

For this project I worked with the Client Relationship Manager and design team to artwork the first five phases independently, and fast became the go-to creative for all matters relating to the visual identity and brand. Part-way through the project, I took it upon myself to visit Fish Island Village to view the large hoardings I had created that surrounded the site, as well as experience the customer journey for potential home buyers - this provided me with a greater sense of the wider project and enabled me to visualise how we could maximise it’s potential.

We integrated the creative environment by commissioning local artists, who live and work in the area, to produce artwork for reproduction in associated marketing. These unique pieces were allocated to each development and revealed with each phase, and became a real strength of the project. The brand identity was also made into a sculpture that is currently displayed in the sales and marketing suite (shown above). This enabled the identity to further come to life and created a striking feature, both beautifully crafted and well executed.

The project won three Property Marketing Awards in 2018.
